U.S. Issued Patents
USF is 16th among American public research universities and 38th among all universities worldwide in generating new patents in Calendar Year 2024. In Fiscal Year 2025, 86 new U.S. 鈥婸atents were issued to USF.
Disclosures
USF had 234 new disclosures in FY 2025 and launched the Inventor Portal to make the disclosure process faster and easier for USF faculty, staff and students.
License/ Options Agreements
USF executed 109 license and option agreements in FY 2025.
Startup Companies
USF had 13 new startup companies in FY 2025, ranking USF in the top 15 percent nationally for facilitating University startups.
