RESEARCH

Dr. Ying Wang’s research focused on three interconnected areas in chemistry education:

  • Students’ Affect toward Chemistry
Examining how students perceive chemistry and developing classroom interventions to promote motivation and positive attitudes toward the subject.
  • Student Learning in Undergraduate Chemistry Courses
Studying how students understand and explain chemistry concepts, such as acid-base titrations and chemical bonding, to improve instructional strategies.
  • Chemistry Instructors’ Perceptions and Practices
Examining how chemistry instructors perceive and implement evidence-based instructional practices nationwide, aiming to bridge the gap between research and classroom practices.
